“Why would you wanna break a perfectly good heart?

Why would you wanna take our love and tear it all apart, now?

Why would you wanna make the very first scar?

Why would you wanna break a perfectly good heart?” ― Taylor Swift

I took a chance, I took a shot

And you may think I’m bullet-proof, but I’m not.
You took a swing, I took it hard.
And down here from the ground I see who you are

Angry smoothie

15 Feb

Hi Everyone,

the last few days I was hungry…and angry….

You know the feeling: your face becomes hot, your heartbeat gets faster, you don’t know whether to scream, or cry. You feel ANGRY, and since most of us are taught that anger is a bad thing, you’re not sure what to do about it.
But anger is a natural part of life, and in many cases expressing it can be a healthy and beneficial practice. On a therapeutic level, it’s been widely accepted that repressing anger often leads to outbursts that negatively affect relationships and quality of life, but anger has been found to physiologically allow your body to release tension. In a study of people with hypertension, visualizing and then addressing out loud abusive pasts or conflicts with parents has caused as much as a 40-point drop in blood pressure.

Clinical psychologist Simon Crisp says your body will usually tell you when you are angry.

“The emotion manifests itself in physiological changes such as increased respiration and heart rate, muscle tension, sweating and flushing of the skin,” he says. “It can also reduce peripheral vision and the processing of auditory language.” He says people experience anger in different ways. “Some may experience a physical sensation, others more perceptual distortions, while some may only report changes in how they think when they’re angry.” That said, anger only becomes a problem when it makes you unhappy

In her seminal book The Artist’s Way, Julia Cameron refers to anger as, “Not a nice friend. Not a gentle friend. But a very, very loyal friend.”

And it’s true: like a soul mate, anger drive you (if you listen that in the right way) in the right direction: anger is to be respected and heard. It shows us where our boundaries are, and when they have been crossed. It acts as a guide, letting us know when we’ve taken a wrong turn in life, or need to try a different path. Anger is a compass, pointing us in the next right direction.

And then what? I made and Angry (for the color like an angry Hulk!!!) Smoothie with:
some dark green leaf
1 medium banana
1 medium pear
1 medium orange
1/2 cup of flax seed
1 tbs of coconut water (thank you for courtesy of Navita)
a pinch of ginger and vanilla

Green, organic, vegan, gluten free, raw… All good things in one cup! Terrific!!! 🙂

ليس الشديد بالصرعة؛ إنما الشديد الذي يملك نفسه عند الغضب

The strong person is not the good wrestler. Rather, the strong person is the one who controls himself when he is angry.

Ginger in love

11 Feb

I’m falling in love: now it’s an evidence…

I’ll try to pretend that never happen but…It’s no true. I’m in love with a ginger taste.

Falling in love is like getting hit by a truck and yet not being mortally wounded. just sick to your stomach, high one minute, low the next. Starving hungry but unable to eat. hot, cold, forever horny, full of hope and enthusiasm, with momentary depressions that wipe you out.
It is also not being able to remove the smile from your face, loving life with a mad passionate intensity, and feeling ten years younger.
Love does not appear with any warning signs. You fall into it as if pushed from a high diving board. No time to think about what’s happening. It’s inevitable. An event you can’t control. A crazy, heart-stopping, roller-coaster ride that just has to take its course.” Jackie Collins, Lucky

Ginger is probably one of the world’s favorite medicines and cooking ingredients. A perennial herb native to China and India, ginger root has been used for centuries in Asian cooking and for its therapeutic properties. Its many different varieties are cultivated throughout Asia, Australia, South America, Jamaica and the U.S. Its delicate green leaves, resembling baby spinach, can be eaten in salads, but the roots of the plant, called rhizomes, are where the benefits of ginger root lie.

Aids in Digestion – Ginger is perhaps the best herb for digestion. It helps break down proteins to rid the stomach and intestines of gas. It also aids in the digestion of fatty foods.

Alleviates High Blood Pressure – Ginger’s warming quality improves and stimulates circulation and relaxes the muscles surrounding blood vessels, facilitating the flow of blood throughout the body.

Treats Nausea and Morning Sickness – Ginger has been widely shown to prevent as well as treat motion sickness, relax the stomach and relieve the feeling of nausea.

Lowers LDL Cholesterol – Studies demonstrate that ginger can lower cholesterol levels by reducing cholesterol absorption in the blood and liver. Its extract can help reduce the levels of LDL (bad) cholesterol in the body, reducing the risk of developing heart disease.

In pain

Sometimes you need to feel a lot of pain to discover the beautiful side of your life…

To give real service you must add something which
cannot be bought or measured with money, and that is sincerity and integrity

Just because…

free-will-debate…I’m vegan and i think it’s right doesn’t mean that it’s right for someone else and vice versa…

I’m thinking a lot about freedom…freedom of choices….
Being vegan brings great benefits like higher energy, cleaner body, clearer mind and astuteness. But to me – given the knowledge- it is like a pain, an awareness of all the suffering, a pain that I can’t shake off.

Animals do not ‘give’ their life to us, as the sugar-coated lie would have it . . . They struggle and fight to the last breath, just as we would do if we were in their place. ” John Robbins

If you think its cruel to hurt a dog you know it’s cruel to hurt a cow or pig, at least in your sub-conscious you understand. The Right to Life is the Choice argument, and that choice remains with the consideration of the Victim, the Owner of the Right, not with the Perpetrator, who seeks to destroy that natural right.

People declare that animals are not sentient (not true), but at the same time claim THEMSELVES not to be sentient! It hurts the victim regardless of whether the violence is intentional or routinely ignored.

Animals and humans have the ability of empathy, so use it, animals and humans have the ability to feel pain, so avoid it. It doesnt matter HOW you do it (substition, juicing, raw vegan, gluten-free, world-cuisine, low fat, lunchbox, gourmet, highcarb, high protein) just go cruelty-free!

Few months ago I wrote an article Manifesto Vegano…but sometimes I felt like people doesn’t really read this piece…
Doesn’t matter… The more you love your decisions, the less you need others to love them!

As long as humans continue to be the ruthless destroyer of other beings, we will never know health or peace. For as long as people massacre animals, they will kill each other.” Pythagoras (570 -495 B.C.)

Comfort food: white soup

4 Feb

Sometimes when winter it’s coming not only in the season but also in your heart, you need to warm your body with food.

Some people choose (badly) junkie food because junk foods typically contain high levels of calories from sugar or fat with little protein, vitamins or minerals. Foods commonly considered junk foods include salted snack foods, gum, candy, sweet desserts, fried fast food, and sugary carbonated beverages.
A study by Paul Johnson and Paul Kenny at the Scripps Research Institute (2008) suggested that junk food consumption alters brain activity in a manner similar to addictive drugs like cocaine or heroin. After many weeks with unlimited access to junk food, the pleasure centers of rat brains became desensitized, requiring more food for pleasure. After the junk food was taken away and replaced with a healthy diet, the rats starved for two weeks instead of eating nutritious fare.
A 2007 British Journal of Nutrition study found that female rats who eat junk food during pregnancy increased the likelihood of unhealthy eating habits in their offspring

The body needs certain vitamins and minerals to function properly. Unlike automobiles, though, the human body can put up with a lot of abuse before it quits running.

When you eat a poor diet, you severely impair the body’s ability—through its immune system—to fight off toxins and diseased cells. Yet the negative effects of wrong eating often take years to manifest themselves.

This is where cancer comes in. Consuming junk food is now recognized as a main contributing factor to the development of cancerous cells.

Then really do you want to eat junk food? I’ll suggest to find some vegan (raw) healthy alternative …Mother Nature was very generous with human people!

Then few nights ago a was very depressed and my mind was struggle…I decided to prepare a special raw warm white soup. I choose cauliflower firstly for the white color that usually give me a sense of calm…secondly is good for health. It is low in fat, high in dietary fiber, folate, water and vitamin C, possessing a very high nutritional density. It also contains several phytochemicals which are beneficial to human health, including sulforaphane, an anti-cancer compound released when cauliflower is chopped or chewed.

Cauliflower is a source of indole-3 carbinol, a chemical which boosts DNA repair in cells and appears to block the growth of cancer cells. The compound also appears to work as an anti-estrogen, appearing to slow or prevent the growth of tumors of the breast and prostate.

Cauliflower also contains other glucosinolates besides sulfurophane, substances which may improve the liver’s ability to detoxify carcinogenic substances.

A high intake of cauliflower has been found to reduce the risk of aggressive prostate cancer. Cauliflower is also a good source of carotenoids.

I used
1/2 head of organic cauliflower
1 tbs of vegetal broth
1 tbs of Macis
1 handful of fresh basil
I boiled only for five minutes cauliflower with the broth and spice. Then a blend and served in a bowl with fresh basil garnished with poppy seeds and nutritional yeast.

IMGP5310I love to prepare comfort food.  I’ll make raw vegetables or roasted potatoes or rice.  The ritual of it is fun for me, and the creativity of it.

Talking of Pleasure, this moment I was writing with one hand, and with the other holding to my Mouth a Nectarine — how good how fine. It went down all pulpy, slushy, oozy, all its delicious embonpoint melted down my throat like a large, beautified Strawberry.

Wheatgrass is a food prepared from the cotyledons of the common wheat plant, Triticum aestivum. It is sold either as a juice or powder concentrate. Wheatgrass differs from wheat malt in that it is served freeze-dried or fresh, while wheat malt is convectively dried. Wheatgrass is also allowed to grow longer than malt is. It provides chlorophyll, amino acids, minerals, vitamins, and enzymes. Claims about the health benefits of wheatgrass range from providing supplemental nutrition to having unique curative properties. Some consumers grow and juice wheatgrass in their homes. It is often available in juice bars, alone or in mixed fruit or vegetable drinks. It is also available in many health food stores as fresh produce, tablets, frozen juice and powder. Wheatgrass contains no wheat gluten.

It is known that at least one of the cereal grasses, barley, stimulates the production of growth hormone from the rat pituitary gland in the brain. There is a possibility that humans respond in the same way. (A hormone is a chemical substance produced in the body that regulates the activity of cells or organs.)

Growth hormone in turn stimulates the production of Growth Factors e.g. Insulin Growth Factor-1. These are also hormones which affect the development of every cell in the body. Responsible for growth in children, they also lead to regeneration of damaged tissues and organs throughout life. Research shows that cereal grasses can heal wounds and burns, stimulate production of blood elements, and kill some cancer cells, at least in the test tube. It is possible these phenomena are mediated via growth factor activation.

Above all, Growth Factors control, stimulate and maintain the body’s immunological status.

There is no doubt that the immune system is of paramount importance in preventing the development of cancer and ridding the body of cancer cells. In other words, if the immune system is strong and robust, it is less likely that one will develop cancer, or the onset of cancer can be delayed. (See National Insitute of Health study below under “Prevention”).

This does not mean that wheatgrass cures cancer, although there have been many reports of successful “cures” in individuals taking wheatgrass and other cereal grasses

A very interesting recent study proved the healing effects of wheat grass juice and wheat grass extract: I’ll suggest to read this article on Natural News.

Let me Know if you find some different information!

Have a nice day!!!
